With the launch of Asp.net 4.5, it becomes very easy to develop metro style application. Metro style applications provide a set of managed typed. You can create your GUI using XAML and for business logic you can use any of the .net framework supported languages such as C#, F#, Vb.net etc. Even you can code in C, C++, HTML, JavaScript.
If you are familiar with silver light or WPF then it is very easy to understand the XAML. Asp.net provides API's to develop Metro Style applications. Microsoft already working to prepare specialist in WPF & Silverlight.
Metro Style application is majorly targeted to Windows 8 and tablet. Windows 8 is targeting to all people from any background for everything. User can able to do anything without any mistake.
This will be new application development model for Windows 8. Microsoft already launch IE 10 in two different flavors, one for conventional purpose and another for Metro style Browser which supports only to metro apps. One more thing Metro Browser will not support any plugins, I don't know what will happen to falsh. Microsoft already set the goal of metro apps with apple.
