Sharepoint Timer definitions

This is is based on shrepoint timer schedules and definitions.Timer schedule is responsible for scheduling the time for all the process that are taking place in the sharepoint central admin. SPTIMERV3 is a sharepoint service that is responsible for performing the scheduled tasks.

When you are about to install a WSP file in share point central admin, and at the same time when you are removing the info-path from the central admin before the installation get completes, sometimes central admin may get hanged and the removing process still remains as "deleting".

Each process will be having its own time schedule. So you can remove the schedule by navigating to central admin-> operations->timer definition.

From here you will find the status of the installation and deletion.

click on the name of the WSP file or info path form.

If restart option is available then you can restart the process.

If restart option is not available then you can delete the job and again you can continue removing the info-path.

If this steps didn't solve your problem, then go to command prompt and check whether sptimerv3 and spadmin services are running.

This can be checked by running the command

net start/stop sptimerv3
net start/stop spadmin

Here sptimerv3 is responsible for performing the scheduled task.
