Server Error in '/' Application
When I saw this error on the first time informed by testing department then I was very confused because application was running wel on my local server.I resolved,and now sharing all the prospects of this Error.
This Error is very common and I have seen on production and staging server.
This error occurs when you are using custom error page with web.config
There are two cause for this error.
1. Error page like MyError.htm should be in root folder. If this file is in different place then hope it will work on local host but on the server you will get yellow page with above error description.
2. Second prospect of this error is web.config. If you mention wprong file name (typing mistake) which is does not exist then also you can see this error.Your web.config file should be structured in the followig way.Be ensure that "myErrorPage.htm" file which should be exist.
Be ensure that your file myErrorPage.htm is correct with proper html tags.
Hope you will identify and remove this error.
