Easy to Create Connection String for .Net

Our .net development.very important is connection string creation .now it will craete easy. You have use DLP(data Link properties) dialog box to save the (.udl) file

How to Create UDL file:

1.Create Notepad file
2.Save As Empty notepad file following extension .udl

Create Connection String:

1.Duple Click the udl file
2.open the DLP dialog box
3.You have select Provider name & provider information ,server name ,Database Name ,Username, password
4.Click Test connection
6.And open udl file (open with Notepad)

Data Link File Format:

Total 3 lines it will create
2 lines are udl format
last lines is connection

Format of string

; Everything after this line is an OLE DB initstring
Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Persist Security Info=False;Data Source=servernamejs;Initial Catalog=databsename;Integrated Security=SSPI

the another way is to that, drag the sqldatasource in the aspx page & give the user & password details. it will create the connectionstring in the web.config.

Just thought you might be interested in a method without using Visual Studio - there's a free online tool on DevFusion. that works for SQL server/SQL express. Makes things nice and simple.
