How to remove or recover password for protected word documents?

These steps are valid for all versions of Microsoft Office.

Step 1: Install the Word Password Recovery Download.
You will need to first download the Petri-recommended Office Password Recovery Pro utility to recover your word document password.

Step 2: Start the Password Recovery Wizard.
To access the Open command in the application's file menu and locate the Word document, you want to recover. This will go to the Office Password Recovery wizard.

Step 3: Choose to Remove or Retrieve the Password Office Password Recovery.
It gives you two options of recovering your protected document.

Option 1 : Delete the Existing Password.
This option removes all password encryption on your file and leaves the document completely unlocked until you choose to re-enable password protection.

Option 2 : Retrieve the original password.
It deals with the following steps:
1.Choose Recover the password to open option.
2.The wizard leads you through several questions.
3.These questions are optional. Press the Next button and then click Finish.
4.Office Password Recovery will access trying millions of combinations to recover the password on your document.
5.This will continue, using a number of different password until it recovers the password.
