Types of database triggers

A database triggers is stored PL/SQL program unit associated with a specific database table or view. The code in the trigger defines the action the database needs to perform whenever some database manipulation (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) takes place.

There are 5 types of Database triggers. The list of Database triggers is given below.

1. Row Level Trigger
2. Statement Level Trigger
3. Instead of Trigger
4. Schema Trigger
5. Database Trigger

Out of these 5 Triggers only 2 are used for table purpose.

Row level Trigger and Statement Level Trigger are used for insert,update or/and delete operation on table.
