CAPTCHA is not a word itself; it's an abbreviation which stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing-test to tell Computers and Humans Apart".
This full form well defines the purpose of CAPTCHA.
Main advantage of using captcha is to protect website from hackers and spammers.
Hackers or spammers try to insert repeatitive data into the system by brute force attack
or by dictionary attack.To avoid such type of attacks CAPTCHA should be implemented.
To create CAPTCHA here is a project which create a 6 digit random number and store this
Number in Session.It also creates a Image of this random number.

    hi! why does i received 1 error and two warnings?
    error states that
    "It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. C:\Users\Migs\Downloads\795-28449-captcha_tutorial\captcha_tutorial\Web.Config"

    I only open this project to MVWD2008 and also i am using windows 7 as my Operating System.

    warning states that
