    How to connect mssql inside vs2008 with out using mssql server?

    Hi member,

    I have a vs 2008 and mssql 2005 I connect db using mssql 2005 server inside vs2008 it connect. But i am using mssql db insider vs2008 without using external mssql 2005 management studio is not connect i am confused any problem in vs 2008 or any component is missing over vs2008 installation. Please guide me and give a good solution for me.

    Hai,
    I don't think it should have any problem in connection of Sql Server 2005 with the Visual Studio 2008. You can try to open the Server Explorer and then create the new connection, you should be able to do it.
    Let us know if you are getting any error message. Also try to open the Visual Studio in Administrator mode as there could be some problem when you have the Visual Studio not in Administrator mode.
    Go to Start --> All Programs --> Visual Studio 2008 --> Right Click --> Run As Administrator
    This will open the visual studio in Administrator mode.
    Now you can open the Server Explorer and connect with the Database.
