Posting external links in forums are strictly not allowed

Hi Every one.

I have come across many forum responses in which members have posted all the external links of different websites.
I have sent messages to many people stating the same that they should not post links as answer.
However the response posted as links are given zero(0) points, if any member again and again do the same thing of posting links will not be entertained here after.
The response posted will be given negative points. So please avoid posting links as response in forum , Please co-operate with us.

Right Sridhar. Members are not allowed to put ONLY LINKS, in there response.
@Members
You can give any link for reference but before that you should properly explain the point and referred some link as an example.
And Please DO NOT give response to very OLD threads for points/CC, the responded threads gets ACTIVE and shown at top in forum.

Hi Prasad.

Even if we lock the old threads, members are able to post responses due to the layout issue locking thread functionality is not working.
Reply for old threads should also deserve less points compared to newly posted threads.

Hi Sridhar, Nice initiative,

I agree with Prasad, we have to give brief explanation regarding post and then provide the link for example that is acceptable, but providing only links are not acceptable.

If we give -ve marking I guess we can overcome this issue, at the sametime for responding old threads too if you provide -ve marking after warn them we can overcome that too.

Giving 0 points for posting external link is good option. It is welcome decision. For giving 0 points for old thread also good option. Likewise editors should concentrate copy past, they have to reduce the point.

Hi Guys.

Thanks for your co-operation.
As we all know members will post here after they do some search regarding that issue.
But few members who responding to threads are posting links and copied content from other websites, which is not acceptable.

Due to new layout issue lock thread functionality not working, but what we can do is, we can decrease their point for un-appropriate response or response to very OLD threads.
