I am agree with you, Member of the year is a appreciation for the active contribution of past year. As per "New reward programs effective from February 2014", Member of the Month award will be given to 5 active/top contributor.
I will write an email to webmaster about it.

Hi Sridhar,

I too agree with you, but as per my understanding about new policies in revenue share they may stopped, member of the Year award, I guess for 2014 also they haven't announced Member Of the Year award, it's nice if they consider our concern. Thanks to raise this, yes ofcourse announcing awards will give boost to members to participate more and more, lets see our webmasters response for the same.
