Devlopment Project Vs Support Project

I am having 8+ years exp in asp.net technologies. Now I am getting chance to work on Sql server Support Project.
Next week there will be the Client Interview. They might be ask- why do you want to change your career from development to Support and why are you interested in Sql server platform over dotnet..
Please give me some points...

Hi Kali raj,

I too ask the same question? why you are shift your career in down grade? Since 8years onwords you are part of development, why you are shift your career into supporting this will decrease your profile strength.

As you are having 8+ years of experience in to development, you will be in a position to judge which of these had scope in future.
According to me you should look for the development side in better organization which offers you good opportunity.
