WebService is not working when calling from website

    Dear All,

WebService is not working when calling from website (at remote system).
    Error : (through login page)
No active user(token: Access token is undefined) System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Anonymous Authentication, ASP.NET Impersonation and Windows Authentication are enabled in IIS Configuration through Authentication Settings

IIS Version is 7.5 and I am calling third party web service.
This web service and web application work fine locally. All the functionality related to webservice work fine at the system where its installed.

But when called it through remotely through the same web application, nothing worked as login page giving above error.

Web Service wsdl return as expected when calling through url in the remote system.

Any help would be highly appreciated. thanks

    Hai Vivek,
As per the error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object', it is difficult to guess what is the exact issue.
How are you calling the service?? Didn't you add the service reference and created the proxy class to access its methods?
If the web service is at another location or even at the internet, you can access it through the URL by creating the proxy class.
Hope it will be helpful to you.

    Hi Vivek,

This kind of error occurs when you are trying to get value from a Null variable. Please put a breakpoint and check in which line you got this error.

    Hope this will help you.

This is a very generic error which occurs if there is a null value.

I would suggest you to please debug the code and check what is the exact error you are getting.
