    How to prepare for .NET interview


    Are you looking for a way to parepare for .NET interviews ? want to know for some guidance to prepare for interview ? then read this thread to know more about it



    hi i have 2 yrs of genuine experience on dot-net last 6 months back my contract period is over. searching for new job from that time but i am getting less calls on 2ys of experience. now i want to move 3 yrs of experience so i need some guidance to prepare for interview on through 3 ys


    how can i prepare for interview.

    which type of questions has to ask chance in interview.

    as per technical knowledge i'm ok but coming to practical wise i'm not good how can i over come this one .............

    The practical knowledge is essential for .NET industary, if you know the practical then only you know about the behavior of .NET objects and differnt method and classes exist in .NET
    you should go for some video tutorials that will help you to gain extra knowledge
    after experience of 2 years in .NET interviewer expect following things from you
    - OOPS knowledge
    - .NET control knowledge for web and windows technology
    - Client side scripting language like Javascript and JQuery will be added advantage
    - WCF and webservices
    - WPF
    - advanced concept like threading
    - DLL, component, user control custom control creation

    Hi,

    Experience will not increase if you are not working for the past one year. Anyway preparing interview for 2 years and 3 years doesn't make much difference.

    Interviewer expect you to work each and every new concepts if you have 2 to 3 years of experience. Highly energetic and good knowledge is mandatory.

    Go though all new concepts and prepare for the interview. You can go through our interview questions for sample questions.

    According to you thread , you are searching new job in IT companies . You are an experience person and want to prepare for .Net interview .

    You should need to cover all syllabus of .net and latest technologies like OOPs,WCF,SOAP etc.

    I don't think so that there is much difference between the 2 year or 3 years interviews.
    All the interviewer expect that you should b good in the basics and then you should know that how this concept is used in the real-time.
    As per the 2-3 years interview questions, you should be good in the following things:
    C#
    1. OOPs concepts(very important)
    2. New features in .Net 2.0,3.5 and 4.0
    3. Assemblies
    4. Exception handling
    5. Database connection related questions
    ASP.Net
    1. Page Life cycle
    2. State Management
    3. Web Services
    Latest technologis:
    WCF
    1. ABC
    2. Types of Binding and Contract
    3. How to handle error in the application when the error is thrown from the service
    MVC
    1. MVC Architecture with Flow
    2. ViewBag, ViewData etc
    Sql Server
    1. Joins
    2. Sub queries(get nth highest salary)
    3. Functions vs stored Procedures
    4. Views
    5. Triggers
