Showing access denied Error while accessing site using FBA credentials

Hi all
First time i tried to configure FBA in moss 2007. I followed the below site
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263363(v=office.12).aspx

But when i tried to access my intranet zone http://server:port using FBA credetial it s showing access denied error.
Then i tried to add those users as members of site , then am not able to get those persons(FBA) in people picker.

Kindly help me to solve this issue.

Sorry not sure what you are asking.,. But i created Memebrship provider and Role provider under same server in DB which the site also using,. And anyway am working this in my VM.
