Syntax/Text highlighter is a very important functionality in any web application.
If you want to implement it in SharePoint you need to use any one of the following
1)Syntax Highlighter at http://highlight.hohli.com/

Or

2)Highlight.js

It's very easy to use because it works automatically: finds blocks of code, detects a language, highlights it.

Upload the Scripts in /14/ Folder and take reference of it on the Page you want to use.
