Is it possible for calling silver light code behind functions through Aspx page

I am new to silver light I have embedded silver light application in my asp page and this silver light application have two methods.

i want to call those methods through aspx page i.e. My aspx page has one button control when i click this button i want to call silver light method

if it is possible please give any idea for this.. thanks advanc
