What are the career options if i am not interested in coding

    hi,
    Greeting for the day !!
i am a computer engineer passed out in 2010. i am working in a well known IT company from last 17 months. the support work which i am doing here has no market value and i am nowhere in any technology right now. One more problem is i have least interest in coding and development. coding is not my cup of tea.
i am planning to switch job in next 6 months. please tell me what all technologies or job profiles are there in market right now with good scope with respect to get job and obviously which dont have any coding thing. or suggest me some course that can pull me out from this situation.
i feel my career is in very dark n i am lost.
    please guide.

The Best option is to Go for the testing, this also has a good career option. or You can go for the hardware site if you are interested.

    Hi,
There are many computer centers offering testing course. I would suggest you to take manual testing course and then you can learn Automation testing by self. Since manual testing is fundamental. Once you complete manual testing you can download winrunner software and take google as application and automate entire process in google. The only thing you need to know in automation is little vb script and constructing the framework.

    All is well.
    Thanks,

    Hai AMS,

If anyone is not interested in coding then the best and easy option is testing becasue there are many advantages of being a tester:

    1. Improvement in analytical skills
    2. Understating the customer prospective or client view of the application.
    3. Easy as compare to coding
    4. Small code will make you feel coding(when using the automation tools like QTP, selenium, nUnit etc)
    5. Learn the testing tools from good institute and search for job.
    6. The testing jobs in each and every companies whether the company is working on .Net, java or PHP or event in any technologies.
    7. testing scope is increasing day by day as the software products are getting more and more in the market.
Hope it will make you feel good to choose the testing field.

    hi,

if you are not interested in coding than networking will be a great choice. It is a very fast growing field. You can do some certifications like CCNA,CCNP,CCIE to understand basics of networking.

If you done CCIE than you will be amoung some 25000 people having this certification.

    All the best

Development is just one of the faces of software development so u have lot other fields to remain in IT industry like
1)Testing as suggested by all others .It could be manual or automated sometime u need to do coding (scripting also) to make scripts.
2)Quality assurance .Its also a good field for you
    3) business analyst If u think u have good communication skills ans u can understand requirements very well.
4)technical person who assist other in software and hardware realted issues basically those issues that are internal to company .
