    Skipping a particular column in select * statement

    hello

    i have to show all columns of table that user select at runtime ..and i want to skip a particular column that is present in every table..i dont want to show that column to user..how to skip a particular column in 'select statement '
    and show rest all columns data to user

    as it is not known at design time tht which table user will click..

    In this case you need to mentioned the field name while executing a select statement.

    Eg: Select column1,Column2,Column5 from table name.

    Where the column3 and column4 are missed from the table while selecting.

    hi,

    simply exclude that column from the select list in order to fetch the details.

    use column name in place of * to select , selected column..
