To find the user name,
SystemInformation.UserName
To find the user domain name,
SystemInformation.UserDomainName
Alternatively, to find the user id you can execute the following lines also...
Dim wp As New System.Security.Principal.WindowsPrincipal (System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent())
MsgBox(wp.Identity.Name)
