regarding validation controls.?

for ex:
I want to validate textbox which is entered numeric value or not?
So my doubt is
we have to write java script function or we can use buit in control?
what is answer.Im confusing...........?

It is better to go with client side validation(javascript) than using server side validation controls.

The better option is to use the javascript function for the any type of validation at the client side.So go for javascript validation.

u can use any of them but when u r using multilanguages better to go to javascript instead of validation controls
