The following codesample in C# will generate a Dataset with all table names,column and rows from given XML file. Just give a path where XML file is stored. It will generate DataSet as per XML node hierarchy with all the data.
Note: It will generate different output in .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0. in terms of no of tables and tables name.

string xmlpath = Server.MapPath("~") + "/XML File/MyXMLDoc.xml";
DataSet ds = new DataSet();
ds.ReadXml(xmlpath, XmlReadMode.Auto);
if (ds != null)
{
if (ds.Tables.Count > 0)
{
if (ds.Tables[0] != null)
{
if (ds.Tables[0].Rows.Count>0)
{
//Bind Reapeter to first table of DataSet
rpt_main.DataSource = ds.Tables[0];
rpt_main.DataBind();
}
}
}
}
