How to find the date difference in SQL Server

This sample code shows how to find the difference between two dates in SQL Server

This will display the difference of two dates in days.
GETDATE() returns Current Date



SELECT DATEDIFF(day,'01/01/2008',GETDATE())



This will display d difference of two dates in months.



SELECT DATEDIFF(month,'01/01/2008',GETDATE())
