ASP.NET designers and their differences

The designers available for ASP.NET are
1. Visual Studio.Net
2. Web Matrix

Web Matrix

1. Using Web Matrix, we can develop only web based applications.
2. Consumes Less amount of memory when compared to VisualStudio.Net.It is a free down load from www.asp.net
3. No need of IIS 5.0.It comes with a built-in called as cassini web server.But with ths we can’t host the websites.

Visual Studio.NET

1. Using Studio, we can develop Console applications,web based application,windows applications,Asp.Net Web applications, Asp.Net web service
2. Consumes more amount of memory.Therefore system configuration should be high.
3. Requires installation of IIS5.0 or later
