LGen Pro consists of two parts: the LLBLGen Pro designer and the LLBLGen Pro runtime framework (our own O/R mapping framework). You use the designer to create the entity/domain model, define the mappings and generate source-code for one of the four supported O/R mapping frameworks. You use the generated source-code combined with the O/R mapping framework of your choice to access your database and consume the data in that database.
LLBGen Tool Layer Project overview
This is professional tool which will give us data layer for our project and using this tool we can create business object which will be supported by
wcf
as well and having feature like importing entire database into compact xml file.
Features of LLBGen Tool to Generate Data Layer for Project
1. Any Data Sources like sql , oracle, db2 etc
2. DTO is supported by WCF service
3. Import the data into compact xml file
4. Reduce effort to write complex logic
5. Having all other feature which is generally having by other O/R mapping tool.
Databases supported:
MS Access 2000/XP/2003/2007/2010, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2/2012/Express/CE Desktop/SQL Azure (LLBLGen Pro Runtime Framework only), Oracle 9i/10g/11g, PostgreSql 7.4+/8.x/9.x, Firebird 1.5.x/2.x, IBM DB2 7.x/8.x/9.x (not on AS/400 / iSeries), MySql 4.x,5.x (using Core Lab's/DevArt MySql .NET provider), Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE)/SQL iAnywhere (ASA)
Languages supported:
Code is generated in C# or VB.NET. Generated code can be used from any .NET language. Code is fully CLS compliant and VB.NET option explicit / strict compliant.
O/R mapper frameworks supported:
LLBLGen Pro Runtime Framework 3.1, Entity Framework v1, Entity Framework v4, Linq to Sql, NHibernate 2.x / 3.x (hbm.xml and FluentNHibernate).
