Crystal Report in web application.

Following steps are easy to create Crystal Report.

The following steps are used to create. This is for framework2.0

Select Project-> Add NewItems->Select Crystal Report
-> Select Standard ->select As a blank report->Ok.

To desired which is your database. ->Go to Mouse In detail Section of Crystal Report ->right Click->Database ->select database Expert.

->It displays Database expert window ->Select create New connection->select OLEDB(ADO)->Select Make ne connection
MS OLEDB Provider SqlServer for sql server.
MS JET4.0 OLEDB Provider for Access.

->It Shows Oledb (ado) window -> If you select sql server->Choose your proper servername,user Id ,Password, dabase name and select integrated security ->Click finish button.


->If you select access select you mdb file then Click finsh button->Click Ok button.
->Select Field Explorer -> rightClick
->Choose your tables ->Click ok button.

The table with fields will display in field explorer.

->Drag and drop the fields as your format.

If you need logo place the section2 of Page herder(like right click select picture->select your picture->Place your Picture in header section.)


In default .aspx page

Place the following details->

Add CrystalReportViewer->
Add Property->
ID="CrystalReportViewer1" runat="server" AutoDataBind="true" ReportSourceID="CrystalReportSource1”

Add CrystalReportSource-> Add Property->



Report FileName="..\CRfolder\CrystalReport.rpt"

DataSourceRef DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1"

Add Sqldatasource ->AddProperty->

SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1"



SelectCommand="SELECT [Id], [PTypeId], [Title], [Description], [Features], [cateId] FROM [ProductList] ORDER BY [Id] DESC"

Now you run your website.

It will display perfectly. Then you generate pdf, excel, word, richtext format and rpt format .
