Learn How to Get Best Answer to Questions in Forum?

You might have noticed that some of the questions in forums are unanswered. Have you ever tried to know why is so?
Why some of your questions are not answered properly. And for some other members, the answers are absolutely correct,
as what they have asked for.

Do you think the members sitting online are insufficient in knowledge. And that's why they are unable to answer them. If you think
so; then you are wrong. Because members sitting online do have much knowledge and experience to share with you all. So what
to do to get those smart and upto mark answer. Follow these instructions and suggestions(although they would not apply for all
but worthy to try):

1. Meaningful Heading

Your question should have meaningful heading indicating that you need help for this type of problem.

For example:

WRONG::TextBox
CORRECT::Validation of Value in TextBox

2. Need Code/Links or Both

Sometimes you ask for code but you get links to different websites. And then you need to go through those links. And it's not
necessary that you get solution there too. So it would be better to mention in starting of question; that whether you need code,
links to reference or both(in capital letter and underline it).

For example:

---------------------------------
CODE ONLY/CODE AND LINKS/ BOTH C/L
---------------------------------
Your question here.

3. Correct Problem Statement

Describe your problem as clear you can. If possible provide details of system & conditions under which that particular problem
occurs.

For example:

WRONG:: How to get value in textbox?
CORRECT WAY:: I am creating Web application. My Web Application contains one page Default.aspx. This
page contains a TextBox for getting input from user. I want to validate that user should not left the
TextBox blank. And an error message should display to user? What should I do?

4. Attach Source Code File

If your project is complex and lengthy. You need more clear solution to your project. So share the source code or code snippet of
project along with members so that they can test your code on their system. And can provide you working and tested solution in
back.

It would be nice to mention line in heading of question along with Code only. For example: Use +SC indicating Source Code file
attached. And the members need to go through code provided and sort out solution there.

---------------------------------
CODE ONLY, +SC
---------------------------------

5. Doubt Clearance or Same Question

If you have some doubt in already asked question you can post your doubts in the same post. And if you not get answer to your
problem there. Post it in forum with heading including prefix DC for Doubt Clearance. This would let members know that you have
some doubt in already answered questions; and if they have answered your questions, they will catch you back immediately.

For example:

DC: TextBox Value Validation

6. Code Snippet in Code Tag
Try to include your code snippet in code tags

so that it would be clear for members to read your code. And they
would able to respond it with ease and quickness.

7. Last Words
Do not forget to rate the answer you get for question. As they are indication to the members that they were able to answer your
question correctly or not. And even encourage members to answer more questions. But be honest while rating!
