This tip is regarding the WCF service in Silverlight

Hi,

1.) When you create a WCF service in Silverlight ensure that you add Silverlight-enabled WCF service when you do Add Item > New Item

2.) Once you are done with creating WCF for your silverlight application, before building and adding a service reference in your silverlight project, ensure that in the config file the binding is "basicHttpBinding".As silverlight just supports basicHttpBinding and this is were you would get error when you try to call the WCF service and it would be very difficult to trace the error.
