Technical interview Reliance Infocom, Mumbai

I have discussed the initial screening round for this recruitment process here - RelianceInfocom Initial screening

After clearing the initial screening test we were scheduled for a Technical interview. We were split in to groups and sent to different rooms. There were different panel of judges present. Well, the mood was tense. My first interview. My name was called to go in to the interview room. Took my filer with my certificates and marched in to the room. There were 5 gentlemen sitting in the room. Ok, that was unexpected. I thought there would be one or two people there. But anyways. They started by introducing themselves. Then asked me to introduce myself then. Asked me about my project and the programming languages I was comfortable with. They asked me to rate myself on a scale of 10 on each of the languages. They also asked me my favorite subject. With utmost confidence I answered, TCS (Theory of Computer Science). I loved this subject. Designing finite automata machines and parsers always had me gripped in my engineering days. One of the interviewers asked me to explain why I liked the subject. The other questions followed were based on C, C++, their differences, their features, etc. It was a good interview as I answered all the questions. I was quite confident on this one.

After all interviews were conducted the HR lady came out and announced the names of candidates qualified for the next and final round. Heart beats up! To my surprise, my name was called out first amongst all. Of the 36 candidates, 20 moved to the next round of HR interviews.
