Declaring Enumerated type - Enum

Following sample shows declaring an enum in vb.net:


Public Enum CityTypes
Village
City
MetroCity
End Enum


By default, each item will have values 0, 1, 2 etc in serial order. You can optionally specify values for each item.


Public Enum CityTypes
Village = 1
City = 20
MetroCity = 243
End Enum
