Implementations
The Microsoft .NET Possibility is the frequent effort of .NET technologies. Added implementations for parts of the hypothesis live. Since the run time engine is described by an ECMA/ISO restriction, new implementations of it are clear by patent issues. It is more herculean to alter alternatives to the unethical form collection (BCL), which is not described by an country criterional and may be dominate to papers restrictions. Additionally, parts of the BCL bed Windows-specific functionality and action, so effort on non-Windows platforms can be problematical.
Few choice implementations of parts of the structure are listed here:
* Microsoft's Mutual Thing Frequent Communication Infrastructure is a non-free common source enforcement of the CLR portion of the .NET Hypothesis. Nevertheless, the last variant exclusive runs on Microsoft Windows XP SP2, and does not contain all features of variant 2.0 of the .NET Theory.
* Microsoft's .NET Micro Hypothesis is a .NET adps for extremely resource-constrained devices. It includes a flyspeck version of the .NET CLR and supports exercise in C and debugging (in an emulator or on constituent), both using Microsoft Seeable Studio. It also features a subset of the .NET immoral assort libraries (almost 70 classes with near 420 methods), a GUI framework loosely supported on Windows Representation Base, and further libraries particular to embedded applications.
* Monaural is an exploit of the CLI and portions of the .NET Foundation Accumulation Depository (BCL), and provides added functionality. It is dual-licensed under unoccupied software and trademarked software licenses. Mono is state industrial by Novell, Inc. It includes link for ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and evolving connection for Windows Forms libraries. It also includes a C compiler, and a VB.NET program is in pre-beta change.
* Cross Net is an effectuate of the CLI and portions of the .NET Store Conference Collection (BCL). It is unrestrained software. It parses .NET assemblies and generates unmanaged C++ codification that can be compiled and linked within any ANSI C++ programme on any platform.
* .NET for Symbian .NET Compact Framing enforcement for Symbian (S60)
* Takeout.NET (component of DotGNU) provides an effectuation of the Familiar Language Fund (CLI), portions of the .NET Part Category Depository (BCL), and a C program. It supports a variety of CPUs and operating systems.
