hey brainbench certification is not considered by most of the IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, L & T inforech etc.
i am also a brainbench certified in Java 2 fundamentals. and appeared in all there companies, but they refused that certificate.

BrainBench Certifications are useful for further promotions and value added to your current profile.
They are useful during your appraisal.

I have taken a couple of Brainbench certifications in .Net and Database.
From career prospective it has not been of much help. As most companies do not give much value to it. But anyhow it was good from personal knowledge prospective and also helped me gain confidence in myself and my technical abilities.
The standard of questions were good.
Ann also many companies are now using it as pre screening round, a candidate has to take up a brainbench test as part of screening and on passing it is called for interview.
