In one year, 1 programmer internally develops web based EDP for German hospital

The staff at The Kinkium Ingolstadt hospital in Bavaria, Germany used an EDP based on a MS Access 2003 database which was no longer able to meet the ever-growing demands of The Klinikum intensive care units and it was needed to be replaced with an updated solution.

After evaluating the Visual WebGui RIA development and deployment platform, the hospital IT team realized that using VWG as a platform made it possible to develop the graphical user interface in the shortest time possible by designing the Forms with Visual WebGui's drag and drop designer.

"By developing the application like a WinForms application, we didn’t have to make any compromises in the implementation of the look and feel of the previous MS Access version of doSys" said Michael Schaller Chief-Developer of doSysIII and added "The biggest advantages was to create own controls by simply deriving a class from Gizmox.WebGUI.Forms.UserControl. Hereby, we were able to create specialized controls to fit all the information that a physician has to know after a single view on the control."
