And from the single location any of the given versioned file can be viewed whenever required. • Also one can stop versioning if not required, its not mandatory. • Document check-in and check-out. • This is to make sure that once document is being edited by one person, other one have to wait till its being checked out. • Inline discussions. • Document can be discussed, using this facility, and this discussion thread is saved for future use. • Any comments on document can be added and then can be viewed by users referring that document (this depends upon the user rights) • Lists and Alerts via mail notifications. • If user is a member of any document workspace, then he/she can get an email notification if any document is added to the workspace.
Meeting Workspace
A meeting workspace is a SharePoint site, which is highlights meeting related features. When we consider meeting, there are some main attributes which come in mind such as, Agenda, Objective, the Attendees, Inviting the attendees, make sure that every attendee comes with all the required documents etc etc Why Sharepoint Meeting Workspace ? Question can be answered like this While creating a meeting workspace for any meeting. The creator or the manager or the administrator will be adding following things to the meeting workspace (which is then send as a link to all the attendees with all the added data) • Inviting Member o Invite all the required attendees, workspace sends an email to the invited members. • Objectives : Objective of Meeting to be held. • Attendees : List of members attending the Meeting, along with their Responses & Comments. • Agenda : Agenda for Meeting. • Document Library & General Discussions • This allows to upload required document to the workspace and also discussion thread on any of the major points can be saved here for future reference
