It’s going to be all business for a while now considering the recession. Keeping that in mind, if you’re looking for a business class mobile but your budget’s a little on the low side, worry not. Here are a couple of options for business class handsets under the Rs. 20, 000 mark.
Nokia E71 – Rs. 19, 800
One of the more popular business class handsets that made quite a splash in mobile-dom was Nokia’s E71 that features a full QWERTY keypad in a rather slim and sleek styling. It’s equipped with a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels with 16 million colors. It's ARM 11 369 MHz processor ensures that speed is never an issue. With regard to connectivity, the handset is equipped with – Wi-Fi, 3G (HSDPA), Bluetooth v2.0 (A2DP), Infrared and USB 2.0. The E71 has 110MB of internal memory and supports microSD cards as well. Nokia has tweaked out the S60 interface to make it more conducive to the business user. There are also plenty of biz-centric applications onboard like QuickOffice (read and write) and Mail for Exchange to enhance its functionality. GPS and a 3.2MP camera are also present. The E66 is also a good option in a slider form factor for those not comfortable with the QWERTY keypad.
BlackBerry 8220 Flip – Rs. 19, 500
BlackBerry’s Flip is RIM’s way of deviating form the conventional candybar design into something a little more stylish. Although it’s still essentially a Blackberry device and has all the features you’d expect to find in a regular BB device, the Flip is also a full function multimedia device. For connectivity, the Flip is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, USB 2.0 and of course microSD cards for memory expansion. It supports access for up to 10 supported email accounts and corporate email. Its native browser supports full HTML browsing and it also has quick access to all the popular social networking sites. RIM has also included the new BlackBerry Media Sync application and an advanced media player for music, video and pictures with full-screen video playback on its 2.6-inch display. A SureType keypad is what you’ll find on the Flip along with the traditional Pearl trackball navigation system.
