To print only date rather than date and time together ,we follow:

Let we consider a table tbl_order(order_Id,order_date)

create procedure dbo.getDateOnly
as
select convert(varchar(10),order_date,101)as Date from tbl_order

Result: 10/23/2008 and so on...

we can exchange 101 with 102,103,104 to change date format.Try it !!!!
