Below is query use to find out third maximum employee salary from employee table.



SELECT     MAX(Emp_Salary) AS Salary
FROM         tbl_emp
WHERE     (Emp_Salary  NOT IN
                          (SELECT     TOP 2 Emp_Salary
                            FROM           tbl_emp
AS  tbl_emp_1
                            ORDER BY Emp_Salary DESC))
