Transaction:

A transaction is a logical unit of work ,that must either be completely executed or aborted ,no intermediate states are acceptable.

1.Atomicity:
A transaction is a single logical unit of work.
2.Consistency:
A transaction must take a DB from one consistent state to
another consistent state.
3.Isolation:
Every transaction should execute as if it is the only transaction existing
in the system.
4.Durability:
Once a transaction has completed successfully,the updated tuples
must be available for all other transaction on a permanent basis.

This is calles ACID Property
