CSS stands for cascade style sheet ..it is mainly used to change the appearance of the site . we can change the appearence by using the style sheet . to add a style sheet right click the solution explorer and new style sheet . open the style sheet and inside th back ground tag right click to selct style and edit .

Styles are normally stored in Style Sheets
Styles were added to HTML 4.0 to solve a problem
External Style Sheets can save you a lot of work
External Style Sheets are stored in CSS files
Multiple style definitions will cascade into one
