Data Manipulation Language (DML) deals with commands performing:
Retrieval of information from the database.
Insertion of new information into the database.
Deletion of information in the database.
Modification of information in the database.
DML is a language which enables users to access and manipulate data.
They are classified into two types:
1)
Procedural Languages
2)
Non Procedural Languages
Procedural languages are those that require users to specify what data is needed and how to get it. On the contrary, nonprocedural languages require the "what" part alone. The user need not care how the data is fetched/manipulated.
