COMPUTER VIRUSES

It would be very annoying to see our computer shutting down unnecessarily and producing redundancy errors. Probably that may be because of some attackers. Do not conclude that somebody is going to break into your house to attack you, I mean the computer viruses. The malwares do perform their jobs so that a system gets crashed and would lead to data loss.

Malwares may be broadly classified as Viruses, Worms and Trojan horses. Viruses are malicious programs that stick to other programs and propagate by infecting them. Worms are corrupted programs those replicate itself like biological viruses and do their jobs. Trojan horses are little dangerous. They create a connection between the attacker's system and the victim. This may be termed as "back doors". There are symmetric and asymmetric back doors. Symmetric backdoors could be used by anyone irrespective of the creator unlike asymmetric backdoors which could be used only by the creators.

The antivirus programs should be designed so as to counteract these pathogens. Among these three types the trojan horses are dangerous. People must be careful while downloading anything which are towards them through electronic mail. These may disguise as some attractive entities to make you click. Innocent would be easily trapped in the hands of the attacker and become a victim. Ignorance about these is foolish. The trojan horses after creating a connection obey the commands of their master. They do whatever he order from a remote computer. So, please have an updated version of antivirus and scan anything before getting it into your host computer. Trusting the websites is like having a lion as a pet!!!
