Mono is a Third-party Software which help to deploy .NET project to linux environment.Mono is the product of novell.This article helps you all to deploy your .NET project into Linix Environment.

Steps to follow.

Step 1:
First you should develop your project in you windows machine using visual studio.Build your project.Check weather your .dll file created in bin folder of your project.

Step 2:
In the Linux environment you should install mono(yum install moono in terminal).Which contain xsp Server.Go to the terminal in linux and guide to your project folder before the bin folder in your project.
root
projectname
bin
projectname.dll
then you go to projectname folder and type xsp and enter.
eg:[root@localhost project] cd /root/Projectname/

[root@localhost projectname]# xsp
xsp
Listening on port: 8080 (non-secure)
Listening on address: 0.0.0.0
Root directory: /root/projectname
Hit Return to stop the server.

this will display in your screen.
then go to your browser and give the url as http://localhost:8080/Login.aspx
Login.aspx(start page this set in visual studio itself)

Every thing works fine.

Really execellent information on MONO.
You clearly explain how to deloy application created in windows environment to Linux environment.
If possible plz let me know where can i download this software.
You explain in a much simpler way.

Deploy form windows to linux is very simple.just copy entire project folder to linux and do the steps in the article.
