You can run the .Net project or we can say the window application on to the LINUX.
we use the "MONO" which is an open source project that allow u to run .NET application on LINUX,MAC OSX
Once u have installed the MONO, get one of your .NET program to create and compile a simple c# program eg:

using System;
namespace ConsoleApplication1
{
class Program
{
static void main(string [] args)
{
console.writeline("Hello World");
}
}

Transferred the compile application from the window M/C by using FTP or Samba then Log onto Linux and run the application

$ ConsoleApplication1.exe \\Hello World
$ Hello World
Hello World

}
