The way Google attempts to further integrate their services is interesting to watch. If you've been a user of Google Earth for some time, you've likely noticed how much more information can be displayed in certain areas, particularly in cities. Now, Google Earth will be getting another layer added to it in the form of a mesh with Google News.

The idea is a very interesting one. Essentially, a news story that will be local to an area can appear on Google Earth, letting you pinpoint a particular region and read the story. According to Google, they use an index of stories from around 4500 news sources, and are able to place the story on Google Earth over where the story is physically taking place.

Nice. Infact, now, online maps are highly capturing the markets. the introduction of GPS in India, will make bigger changes in the routes, usage of maps and other transport related stuffs. Hoping that Google India may take a major consumption with other clients in bringing out solutions for GPS in India and its extreme deep locations
