Dynamic SQL

Dynamic SQL is nothing but a sql query which gets generated on client and send it to the server for execution.
E.g. You would like to display search result based on diffrent parameters those are optional. It means, user may provide keyword and looking for companies or products or suppliers or all three. In this scenario, user can select all or any options and accordingly we need to send the search result. To achieve this we need to have dynami SQL.

In short,if we are supplying the table name at run time, customizing the select list or the where clause is nothing but DYNAMIC SQL. You can make dynamic SQL inside SProc or can be build on application level as SQL Query.
