At times, we may need to manually open the assembly or compiled executable to find out what is going wrong with an application. At times, a DAT binary file needs to be inspected too.
Recently, I had a similar binary file manipulation necessity and I came across two good tools which I would like to share here:
1) HexEdit (Both free and paid versions are available) http://hexedit.com/
2) CP HexEditor (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/applications/hexeditor.aspx)
