We all are aware of hibernate feature in windows. What happens when you hibernate your pc? It basically saves the current state of the computer to disk and when you login next time, pc loads in the same state as last time. Now, Technically windows saves the state of each of the object loaded in the memory. So next time when you login, window copy the saved state to the memory.
This is a classic example of serialization. Serialization is the process of saving an object state onto a storage medium like file. In .NET we have two types of serialization
Binary Serialization
and
XML Serialization
