The following method helps to get ping in milliseconds

int GetPingMS(string hostNameOrAddress) //IP or HostName to ping
{
System.Net.NetworkInformation.Ping ping = new System.Net.NetworkInformation.Ping();
return Convert.ToInt32(ping.Send(hostNameOrAddress).RoundtripTime);
}

// How to call this function (IP Address).
MessageBox.Show(GetPingMs("127.0.0.1"));

// How to call this function (HostName).
MessageBox.Show(GetPingMs("www.dotnetspider.com"));
