hi,
can anyone tell me how to set a column as primary key in sql server 2005.

the problem is i have a column by name task(varchar(max)). When i am trying to set it as primary it is not getting modified

it doesn't have any repeated values and i also tried by using modify button.

Hi,

please check again is there any duplicate values in that column..

because i tried it and it's not giving any error to me.

in enterprise manager try to click in that column and set primary key.
it does not give ant error
