Record set count in visual basic 6.0

Hi,
In my application i have to find record set count if there are records then i have to get them and fill my flxdetails .For this i am using rs.Record Count where rs is my record set but always its giving -1.But there are records in my table and i also tested with If not rs.EOF AND rs.BOF but then also its not finding the end .Its filling the flxdetails but its not finding the record count ,how to find the records
count ?

there is a property of connection object "Cursorlocation" set this server or client
Now recordset pull the data

I wrote like this rs.Cursorlocation=adUseClient
msgbox(rs.CursorLocation) its always giving single value,its not changing its values its always 2
