reading the first characters from a string

hi i have one more problem, i have sting as i said earlier while using that i am generating the barcode but i have small label which have capacity of 10 characters in one line but i want pass 15 or more characters for that i want to convert 10 char one line and 5 char another line can u please tell me how to do this.
